Now the students will take their “Lion Logic” and apply it to a real project using the ML for Kids platform.

Project: The “Emotion Detector”

• Task: Train a text model to recognize “Happy” vs. “Sad” phrases.
• The Steps:
  1. Collect Data: Create two “buckets” and fill them with text examples.
  2. Train: Let the machine learn the patterns in the words.
  3. Test: Type a secret phrase to see if the machine can guess the emotion.

Learning Outcome

Students will understand that a machine isn’t smart by itself; it only knows what we teach it through the data we provide.
